Working in IT is a very profitable and prestigious job even now. Having experience with multiple programming languages and knowledge of cloud engineering, machine learning, algorithms, and data structures will make you a rock star on the market with a solid salary.

But what will software engineers be waiting for if World War 3 starts? It is unlikely that many customers will want yet another app or site. During the war, totally different business domains become critical.

So today, as a software engineer from Ukraine after two years of war, I want to share what skills are in demand in military tech, government resources, and critical infrastructures.
